The importance of the Tabernacle or Sanctuary is that it has the whole salvation plan laid out perfectly, that is to say if you know what the Tabernacle is? The Tabernacle also cant function without key Furniture and items, like the Ark of the Covenant and the Menorah Alter of incense for example… it also most definitely needs a High Priest. The Tabernacle also runs hand in hand with the Law of YaH, you can not have the one without the other.
So how do we today live without the 10 commandments ? Well that is easy, we believe whatever makes it easier to deal with sin and that makes us sleep better at night. We need to go look closer at why we need or don’t need the Ten Commandments before we can ever truly understand the Salvation plan.
Colossians 2:13-17And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; [And] having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath [days: ] Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body [is] of Christ.
1: I want to point out that something as important as the ten commandments wouldn’t just get wiped out without any other refence being made to it elsewhere, but its the opposite, it still gets mentioned up until the book of Revelations. By Yahushua’s death, the debt of our guilt owed for sin is wiped clean! Sin is the “Handwriting of requirements and has been against us.
2: Then, up until the crucifixion of Yahushua, sinners had to do animal sacrifices, it was done away with as Yahushua was the ultimate sacrifice for all our sins up until that day… meaning that if you sinned there after it didn’t mean that you didn’t sin, it meant that you no longer needed to make a sacrifice for your sins but only had to pray for forgiveness.
1 Timothy 1:7-11Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for he ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for
murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to
If the law was nailed to the cross then why is it pointed out again, why does it keep getting referred to, and in different ways for people to understand?
3: When a person was crucified his list of crimes was nailed to the cross for all to see, Yahushua’s sin was written by Pilate as “King of the Jews”, so at the end Yahushua paid for our sins. When we accept Yahushua as savior and come to terms with the fact that he died for our sins it relieves the burden due to the fact that you have a high priest to pray to and when we ask for forgiveness those sins get wiped out from our RECORD OF SINS and we can start fresh. If the Ten commandments were nailed to the cross why do we then still pray, because that just seems like a waste of time then?
Galatians 5:2-26Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for the
hope of righteousness by faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? This persuasion [cometh] not of him that calleth you. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be. And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. I would they were even cut off which trouble you. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve
one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, [even] in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these;] Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envying’s, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
Its understandable when reading from Galatians, how it can get confusing especially because Paul uses the word law often and asks them why are they still under the law? But continuing reading clearly brings out the meaning when he refers to the circumcision and point out that it’s no longer necessary. He also finishes off chapter five by bringing up
the ten commandments and reminds them that whoever breaks the ten commandments WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF YaHuwah! It doesn’t stop there, there is a bigger picture that leads up to the crucifixion of Yahushua and what happened when He rose and went to Heaven! This is one of the biggest events in scripture so it can’t be left at just that, and with every big event there will be fulfillment of prophecy and bigger things set in motion, most people don’t realize it, and is one of the biggest reasons people don’t understand scripture. Before the crucifixion sinners still had to make sacrifices, a high priest had to atone for their sins.
The tabernacle was of very high importance because why else would YaHuwah have them make it to a replica in heaven, the high priest was only chosen from the Levites, one of the twelve tribes. It had a courtyard, then the temple consisting of two compartment, the Holy and the most holy and only the high priest could go into the holy and the most holy. Aaron and his sons were the only chosen to service inside the holy and holy of hollies, the rest of them were to do service in the court that was built around the tabernacle. In the courtyard, there was a brazen altar with horns for the burnt offerings and the sacrifice had to have no blemishes and the priests inspected them before the time and the blood was sprinkled on the horns of the altar. Between the brazen altar and the entrance to the tabernacle was Laver (basin) that the High priests had to wash hands and feet before going in.
Some of the blood was put on the horns of the altar of incense, also was incense burnt every morning and evening on the altar of incense that stood before the holy of hollies, once a year the high priest went in to the holy of hollies to atone for all their sins. Inside the holy of hollies was the ark of the covenant, inside it the ten commandments, and above it the Shekinah glory was visible above the mercy seat between the two cherubim’s. If YaHuwah accepted the atonement by the high priest the cherubim on the left would have light shining on it, if Yahuwah rejected it dark cloud would form on the cherubim on the right.
The high priest had bells on his robe with a rope attached to him, if
YaHuwah rejected it the high priest was killed and this is how the rest knew if all went well with the atonement. The high priest had a breast plate with twelve stones in it, and the names of the twelve tribes were written on them, thus representing the mediator between YaHuwah and the nation (twelve tribes). The tabernacle was also designed in such a way that they could carry it where ever they were to go. Inside the first room was the table of 12 show breads, the altar of incense, the 7-candle stick. The altar of incense was right in front the veil that separated the holy from the holy of hollies, it didn’t cover completely from top to bottom so the Shekinah Glory of YaHuwah was still visible to the high priest through the veil. They also had to remove their sandals before going in as it was hallowed ground
just like the ground with Moses and the Burning bush.
Every Sabbath the showbread was covered with frankincense and had to be eaten by the priest as it was holy, then new showbread was placed down on the table. The frankincense was burnt upon the altar as a memorial before YaHuwah. On a daily bases the sinner was to bring his offering (sacrifice) in front the tabernacle put his one head on the victim and confess his sins thus transferring it from him to the innocent sacrifice. The hi priest then took some of the blood into the holy place and sprinkled it before the veil, sometimes the blood was not taken into the holy place but the flesh was to be eaten by the priests. On the day of atonement, the kids of the goats were brought to the door of the tabernacle and lots was cast upon them one lot for YaHuwah and the other lot for the scapegoat. The goat on which the first lot fell was to be slain as an offering for the people and its blood was taken into the holy of hollies and the blood sprinkled on top of the mercy seat of the arc of the covenant.
Aaron would then lay both his hands on the scapegoat and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, then shall he send him away by the hands of a fit man into the wilderness: and the goat shall bear up him all their iniquities into a land uninhibited. Only once the goat has been sent away did the people regard themselves as free from the burden of their sins. The whole congregation of Israel spent the day in solemn humiliation before Yahuwah with prayer, fasting and soul searching.
John 14:6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
This verse proves that there is no other way to have a relationship with YaH if we don’t even know His Son or accept that He is the way to our salvation, no priest, pope or senior church member can take His place, and if you believe they can, you are placing that person in the role of High Priest?
