So why is there so much confusion on which day to keep Holy?
Since the beginning man has always tried doing things better than the Creator, we have become a people that trusts more in our own opinions and intellect, instead of allowing YaH to speak to us, and teach us through His Word. This has also unfortunately led us down a dwindling spiral where we have ever increasing knowledge of the world, but we still stand with question marks in our brain when reading scripture? We have come to a point where we allow professors dictate the meaning of scripture instead of the Creator….
There is nothing wrong with being intelligent, but never assume you are correct because you have a degree in theology or because you have been around for the last 50 or so years. One thing is a fact, YaH (God) never stops teaching us, even today we find more and more sections in scripture that has new meaning because it was never understood or it was just avoided.
Today we trust in a man made time keeping system to determine a Holy Sabbath created by YaH (God), the calendar as we know it today comes from Rome and has been like that since the time they came into power.
In 1582, when Pope Gregory XIII introduced his Gregorian calendar, Europe adhered to the Julian calendar, first implemented by Julius Caesar in 46 B.C. Since the Roman emperor’s system miscalculated the length of the solar year by 11 minutes, the calendar had since fallen out of sync with the seasons. (As per Wikipedia)

These calendars were obviously also build around pagan roman gods and their traditions and holidays, they merely adjusted the calendar so that the Christian Holy day would fall on the 7th day of the week. Sunday was originally set aside for sun worship so by taking Sunday and by renaming it the “Lords day” doesn’t make it any more important than the Sabbath day given to us by the Creator.
So how do we know which day is the right day?
Well the best way to know this is through scripture, the word of YaH (GoD) will never lie or contradict itself so it is always safe to trust in it, make sure it is always used in the right context. So many people build false religions with bible verses that were taken out of context, and another thing people do wrong is, they get confused between tradition and religion.
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Here we have the very first time keeping system, and this should be obvious because why would the Creator make the Sabbath of there was no way for Adam or Eve to determine the Sabbath day? Also remember that from this point up until the Romans arrived all those who lived for YaH (GoD) and according to His will followed this Heavenly Calendar.
There is one thing that man can never change and that is the way the universe works, they can not alter the cycle of the stars, sun and moon. There is so many references in scripture about the stars and the moon, and no where in scripture will you find a day of the week labeled with with a fixed name, like “Wednesday” . Only Holy Days and Feast days were labeled like Passover and Day of Atonement.
So how do we know the Moon was used to determine the Sabbath?
Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.
This verse refers to the Holy Temple where the Ark of the Covenant was, the replica that was made of the one in Heaven, so this in itself is very important as this was the most Holy thing us humans ever were allowed coming near. This was also the same Temple where the High Priest had to do atonement for our sins. (Click on the button below to view the video lesson on Salvation Story and the Tabernacle)
1 Chronicles 23:27-32
For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above; because their duty was to help the sons of Aaron in the service of the house of the Lord, in the courts and in the chambers, in the purifying of all holy things and the work of the service of the house of God, both with the showbread and the fine flour for the grain offering, with the unleavened cakes and what is baked in the pan, with what is mixed and with all kinds of measures and sizes; to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and likewise at evening; and at every presentation of a burnt offering to the Lord on the Sabbaths and on the New Moons and on the set[h] feasts, by number according to the ordinance governing them, regularly before the Lord; and that they should attend to the needs of the tabernacle of meeting, the needs of the holy place, and the needs of the sons of Aaron their brethren in the work of the house of the Lord.
The New Moon has always had a very important place in scripture and when ever you read about it, the connection will always be to the Sabbath and Feast days. This is really worth looking into if you never had before, and it surely won’t cost you anything.
So how does this Calendar work?
It is called a Luni-Solar Calendar because it also makes use of the Moon to determine the start of a new moth. It can never change and will with out man hand in it, keep working, it does not need manual adjustments at all and it’s soul purpose is to Keep the Creators Holy Days!
When you look at these calendars you will notice that it indicates our modern calendar date and the biblical date.
The best way to keep track of the Sabbath day is to mark the New Moon on your modern calendar and each of the Sabbath days so that you don’t get confused in the beginning.
The Sabbath day will always fall exactly 7 days after the new moon and it will only shift once the New Moon comes again. In our modern world it is not easy to look up at the stars and the moon and know what is happening, but luckily we have the internet and people that can do it for us.
